Connecting Consultant

Senior Consultant, Baker Tilly Digital, Baker Tilly US

Since graduating from WMU, Alexis Flicek has embraced a world of experiences. Her favorite part of being a consultant with Baker Tilly US has been the way the firm has empowered her to take part in a variety of teams, scenarios and opportunities—something that she thrives on as a young professional.

Harnessing the business acumen, data management and supply chain skills learned in her coursework, she consistently works to help businesses streamline processes, improve efficiency and stay competitive. Not only does Flicek positively influence client operations, she is also making an impact within her organization and on her peers. While at Western, she worked as a student leader for Business Preparation: The First-Year Experience, which gave her the chance to mentor incoming students and help them engage with other students and faculty.

She has taken those leadership abilities and now applies them to her participation in BTNovus, a young professional network within Baker Tilly. This involvement afforded her the opportunity to present at the network’s global conference in Paris, speaking about the importance of investing in young professionals as a way to build business.

Favorite Travel Destination:

“The Netherlands. I was fortunate to complete my study abroad in Utrecht, Netherlands. While I was there, I fell in love with the country, the people and the way of life.”
