Creative Coach

Assistant Manager of Talent Development, L’Oréal

Leading with impact. It’s what defines Samantha Morehead’s career from her days as a WMU student to today as an emerging executive. At WMU, she co-founded the Women’s Business Network (WBN) and served as president of the Merchandising Opportunities & Design Association (MODA), winning a competition to participate in New York Fashion Week.

After graduating, Morehead took her talents to the Big Apple, landing a dream role at L’Oréal. As a junior human resources associate, she dove headfirst into university relations and employer branding, hosting events at over 30 colleges. She also used her creative skills to develop the company’s U.S. LinkedIn and TikTok content strategy, sharing the #LifeAtLoreal magic with millions.

Her hard work and dedication were quickly recognized, and she was promoted to assistant manager of talent development, where she’s the youngest assistant manager on her team. Morehead has since designed the internal Careers at L’Oréal site in less than three months—a resource that has garnered over 50,000 views and is empowering employees to grow, lead and thrive in their careers at L’Oréal. She has created more than eight internal career events and also dedicates time to mentoring young talent within L’Oréal.

Her impact extends beyond the walls of L’Oréal as well. She’s an active member of the New York Junior League and also serves on the Cancer Awareness and Support Committee. Morehead cultivated community while at WMU and continues to make a difference, finding deep meaning in using her creativity to spark joy, build community and empower others.

Funniest Work Experience:

“Thanks to my previous role co-leading L’Oréal Brandstorm, I constantly—and accidentally—call brainstorms ‘brandstorms.’ Its a permanent part of my vocabulary. At this point, Ive just embraced it."
