Healthcare Services and Sciences (B.S.)
The Healthcare Services and Sciences program at WMU is designed to prepare you for the healthcare workplace or for the professional graduate programs offered at CHHS. The program features concentrations in Audiology, Blindness and Low Vision, Occupational Therapy and Physician Assistant, as well as a bachelor's degree completion option for transfer students.
Nursing (B.S.N.)
The Bronson School of Nursing offers a traditional BSN program, as well as an RN to BSN program. Both programs integrate knowledge from liberal arts, sciences and the discipline of nursing. The program emphasizes the development of skills and knowledge, as well as the clinical judgment that distinguishes the practice of a professional nurse.
Public Health (B.S.P.H.)
The public health program will prepare you to focus on primary prevention of negative population health issues in community settings, like what we are currently experiencing with the COVID-19 public health pandemic. Our program is unique in that we incorporate state and national professional development, including trips to state and national public health conferences.
The WMU School of Social Work will educate you to advocate for social and economic justice and personal well-being for all people. The Bachelor of Social Work program promotes social and economic justice by teaching you to critically examine oppressive and discriminatory social constructs, policies, practices, attitudes and assumptions.
The Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology will prepare you for graduate work in the fields of Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology. While a master's degree is required for certification in those professions, this degree can allow you to work as a speech-language pathology assistant, support personnel for speech-language pathologists.
