Guest Artist Recital: Thomas Barth, Cello

Praised for his “expansive and fervent” style (Musical America) and “superb phrasing” (Boston Musical Intelligencer), cellist Thomas Barth enjoys a varied career as a chamber and orchestral musician. He performs frequently with groups including the Handel and Haydn Society, Glissando Chamber Series, A Far Cry, Emmanuel Music, Skylark Vocal Ensemble, Boston Baroque, and ChamberQUEER.  Thomas is both at home performing at leading arts venues–including Carnegie Hall and the Ravinia Festival in recent seasons–and passionate about bringing thoughtful musical programming to wide audiences through performances at schools, farms, and community centers throughout North America and Europe.
