College of Arts and Sciences faculty and staff recognized for achievements
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Western Michigan University’s College of Arts and Sciences is proud to announce the recipients of the 2022-23 Arts and Sciences Faculty and Staff Achievement Awards. Recipients were honored during a ceremony on April 6.
The awards aim to acknowledge the exemplary work of individuals who have made significant contributions to students' academic and professional growth, the college and the University. The awards recognize the recipients' outstanding work in teaching, research, scholarship and creative activities.
"We are extremely proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of these eleven individuals," says Dr. Carla Koretsky, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. "Their hard work and dedication to our students and the college are truly exemplary. We are grateful for their contributions, which have helped elevate the reputation of the College of Arts and Sciences and Western Michigan University as a whole."

During the awards ceremony, the college also awarded two students the Diversity and Inclusion Student Writing Prize, which is designed to celebrate ideas expressed in student writing that exemplify the college’s commitment to diversity, inclusion and multiculturalism.
