New proposal submission procedure expected to befit campus researchers | May 31
Beginning July 1, researchers will be subject to a proposal submissions policy that builds in sufficient time for them to obtain the support needed to guarantee compliance with sponsor requirements.

Common Rule Changes | Jan. 10
The Final Rule for 45 CFR 46, the Federal Policy for the Protection of Human Subjects a.k.a. the "Common Rule" by the Department of Health and Human Services, was published on Jan. 18, 2017.  The majority of changes will go into effect July 19, 2018.

Undergraduate students have until Wednesday, Jan. 31, to apply for WMU's Undergraduate Research Excellence Award program, which gives students an opportunity to conduct hands-on research and interact with faculty mentors outside the classroom.
