Caitlin Ashby, B.B.A.’18
Logistics Leader
Senior Logistics Account Executive and Sales Team Lead, Total Quality Logistics (TQL)
With three promotions in six years, Caitlin Ashby is on the rise at Total Quality Logistics (TQL), where she landed a sales role following graduation. Sales was an unexpected path for Ashby, but she found it tapped into her ‘why’ for her career. Attracted to the financial freedom that success in sales offered and the ability to redefine norms by being a woman in logistics, Ashby sailed through her training in record time. Finding that both her empathy and competitive streak made her a natural leader in the field, she was quickly recognized by executives as one to watch.
Honored with several company awards for outstanding performance, including for being a top broker, Ashby has been recognized by Women in Logistics as a Grand Rapids leader, served as a panelist at her company for Black Employees Supporting Talent (BEST), operated as the Grand Rapids BEST Ambassador, and has been a member of Total Quality Logistics Grand Rapids Elite. Recently, she became a founding member of a new office for TQL in Lansing and will assist in establishing a healthy company culture at the location. Her eventual goal is to become a group sales manager.
Hidden Talent:
“I’m a singer. I was in chamber choir where I traveled and performed at Disney, the Parthenon in Nashville and on a cruise ship. I had my own band in high school. Some WMU friends and I founded a female a capella group called Here Comes Treble. Nowadays, I enjoy getting together for karaoke at a local pub.”
