Current Job Title:

Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management

Current Employer:

University of Wisconsin-Superior

Describe your current job:

In my current position, I oversee 8 operational areas: Admissions, Athletics, Financial Aid, Registrar, Marketing and Communications, TRiO Grant Program, Academic/Career/Educational Support Services, and International Programs.

What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is working with an outstanding team and serving students. It is incredible to see them transform in the time that they are enrolled at UW-Superior. The most challenging part of my job is growing enrollment, especially with the current demographics and increasing costs. We have to constantly communicate the value of a college degree, especially here in the Northland.

What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?

My undergraduate leadership experience as an Orientation Student Leader in the Office of Admissions and Orientation was my most transformational activity at WMU. This experience led me to pursue a career in higher education. I am grateful to the mentorship provided by Donna St. John, Stanley Henderson, Pam Liberacki and Diane Ariza!

What advice do you have for others pursuing a career similar to yours?

Network as much as possible. Shadow people whose careers interest you. Conduct informational interviews and volunteer so you can learn as much as possible!
