Resumes will be reviewed by a career advisor or by a representative from an employer sponsor (list of companies at the end). Reviewed resumes will be returned within 48 hours. Resume review employer support sponsored by: Auto-Owners Insurance Company, City Year, Consumer Energy, Helix Scribe Solutions, and Pfizer.

  • Career Advising Spring 2021. Resume reviews: submit a resume to wmu-handshake@wmich.edu and receive a reviewed copy within three business days. Advising appointments: Sign up on wmich.edu/career for a career advising appointment with a Career Development Specialist. Career and Student Employment Services is hosting virtual job fairs through Easy Virtual Fair for the 2020-21 school year. Below are instructions for creating a candidate profile in Easy Virtual Fair, as well as searching for the employers attending the job fair that are hiring for your qualifications. 

  1. Create your candidate profile in Easy Virtual Fair 
    1. Fill out all of the information on the profile, because that's what employers will see 
    2. Upload your resume* to your candidate profile
  2. View employers and open positions in Handshake https://wmich.joinhandshake.com/career_fairs
    1. Upload your resume* to your Handshake profile, and make it "public" (visible to employers in Handshake)
    2. View the employers signed up to attend, their open positions, and required qualifications for candidates
* Make sure you upload a resume reviewed and critiqued by a Career Development Specialist. For directions for resume reviews and a guide on preparing for and navigating virtual job fairs and interviews, visit wmich.edu/career/students.
