Virtual career advising: If you are in need of a resume review, and are a current WMU student or recent WMU alumni launching your career, please submit it to and we will return your reviewed resume within 3 business days. For anything else career related, current WMU students and recent WMU alumni can set up a phone or Webex appointment with a Career Development Specialist via WMU Handshake

New! Evening hours available for career advising on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 6 to 8 p.m. (in addition to our normal hours of Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.).

In alignment with courses being offered through distance education for the remainder of the semester, Career and Student Employment Services will be offered from a distance as our staff works remotely during this time. You will be able to receive the support and guidance via phone, email, and WebEx.

Our typical service delivery models, outlined below, have been converted to virtual services for the time being. Please refer to the information in the box at the top of this page for the latest information.

Career and Student Employment Services at Western Michigan University offers 20-minute drop-in sessions and one-hour appointments.
