If you had a campus job or internship, how did they impact your career development?

I had an internship/co-op with Parker Hannifin Aerospace Hydraulics Division in Kalamazoo. They impacted my career development by giving me the opportunity to work in different areas of the supply chain department and learn the everyday life of a supply chain professional. Also, I completed various problem solving projects that helped increase my supply chain knowledge.

What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?

The people that helped prepare for my career were my fraternity Delta Sigma Pi: Epsilon Omnicron Chapter. This professional business fraternity gave me the resources and opportunities to work on my professional skills to be able to bring them into the working world. I learned a lot by participating in practice interviews, networking mixers, and resume critiques.

Which of your skills had the biggest impact on your success?

The skill that had the biggest impact on my success was my work ethic. Throughout my years at Western I was a full-time student and worked 20-30 hours a week every semester. This way I improved my time management by making sure I was keeping up on my academics while showing up to work every day I was scheduled.
