If you had a campus job or internship, how did they impact your career development? 

Having an internship at Greenleaf Trust and at Plante Moran helped solidify that accounting and finance were the right majors for me. The two internships helped me grow professionally in ways that a classroom cannot. 

What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career? 

Being involved on campus in Beta Alpha Psi, NABA (National Association of Black Accountants) and ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals For America) really helped me network and grow with like minded individuals that were looking towards a successful future.  

What advice do you have for others pursuing a career similar to yours?  

The advice I can give others is to put yourself in as many situations you are not comfortable in to help yourself grow and not stay stagnant. Always look for ways to learn and being willing and open to learning. Lastly, I want to encourage others to pay it forward and pass along knowledge and helpful tips to others.
