The Media Center in 2026 Brown Hall is the place of choice for students in the School of Communication at Western Michigan University. The Media Center provides you a space to study or meet with a small group to discuss and work on projects and assignments.
Comfortable tables and chairs with several computer workstations are available for checking email or doing research on the Internet. You can browse from a modest collection of communication-related books and journals and communication technology trade magazines. The Media Center also has a copier for you to use for assignments or school-related projects.
Equipment
The Media Center houses camcorders, microphones, tripods, lighting equipment and digital audio recorders that are available to check-out by School of Communication students for course-related work. An acceptance form must be signed and on file including authorization from a faculty member before any equipment is checked out.
The Media Center occasionally is reserved for workshops and special events.

- Monday - Friday: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
- CLOSED: Spring Break, Summer Semesters, and any days that classes are not typically in session.
