The Medieval Institute at Western Michigan University was awarded the silver horse head by the College of Arts and Sciences for its best-in-college percentage in reporting midterm grades in the spring semester of 2018. Institute staff transformed the horse into a crowned unicorn for the occasion of the award luncheon, enjoyed by the assembled instructors of medieval studies courses.
