Apply
Admission to the master's program in medieval studies at Western Michigan University is administered through an online system. General application information for the University, as well as specific requirements for individual programs, are captured into this system.
Applicants are asked to submit the following:
- Academic Writing Sample (15-20 pages; if the applicant doesn't have a paper of that length that represents their best work, two shorter papers would be accepted)
- Curriculum Vitae
- The GRE requirement has been waived for the 2024-2025 application cycle.
- Three Recommendations
- Written Statement (500-1500 words)
See our FAQ for more guidance about applications. Applicants should email Graduate Admissions or phone (269) 387-2000 with other questions about the online application process.
Deadline
The deadline for complete applications is December 15th for fall (August) admission.
International students
WMU's Office of International Student and Scholar Services can assist international students in applying for admission. The deadline for international admissions, as well as application fees, may vary from those for domestic admissions.
