Geography, Environment and Tourism

Through instruction and research, the Department of Geography, Environment, and Tourism seeks to understand distribution patterns of the world's physical and cultural features and their implications for better use and management of resources.

The College of Arts and Sciences at Western Michigan University offers several opportunities for you to get a head start on your graduate degree while enrolled as an undergraduate. Through WMU’s Accelerated Graduate Degree Program, students meeting certain criteria can enroll in up to 12 credit hours of designated 5000- and 6000-level courses for graduate credit.
