Finding an on-campus job at Western Michigan University
The primary place to search for campus jobs is Handshake. Not every department posts their jobs in Handshake, so you can also visit the student employment sections of department websites, and use WMU A-Z to find individual departments and ask directly about open opportunities for student employment.
Search Handshake
Have your resume critiqued before you post it in Handshake.
- If you are an enrolled WMU student, your Handshake account has been created automatically. To activate and create your profile, go to wmich.joinhandshake.com and click on the blue button that says “WMU Student Login."
- To find on-campus jobs in Handshake, select Jobs & Internships” tab; under the "Job Type" select, click "View all" and then check the "On Campus Student Employment" box.
- If you have trouble, make sure your Bronco NetID and password are working for your GoWMU login and/ or Wexchange + login. If neither of those are working, call the Office of Information Technology at (269) 387-4357 and select Option #1.

Use WMU A-Z

- Use the "Contact Us" or the "Directory" tab to contact someone directly in the department.
- You can also use a general phone number provided on each website.
