What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is using technology to find faster ways to my day-to-day operations. The most challenging part of my role is the volume of deductions that are received each day.

What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?

All of the RSO’s that I was a member of have helped to prepare me for my current position. Through these clubs, I was provided the opportunity to improve my leadership skills by holding an executive board position. The Zhang Career Center was a huge help with landing my current job. The resume critiques and the interview practices that are offered were a big part in preparing me for interviews. Lastly, the network that was created throughout my four years will provide me with endless opportunities and career advice.

What advice do you have for students?

The best advice I can provide to students is to join at least one RSO, grow your network, ask for help/advice, and lastly enjoy every day of college. WMU has many things to offer, and students need to take full advantage of it. I can’t promise you anything but doing those four things will help to set you up for success after college.
