What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is to interact with students from different backgrounds and witness their growth. The most challenging part of my job is to find better ways to engage my students in the classroom and motivate them to be an active learner.

What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?

My experience at WMU helped me in many ways to be ready for a faculty position in a University. My advisor created a free and encouraging atmosphere for me to learn how to be a researcher. The RSO (Registered Student Organization) shaped the leadership quality in me. The diverse WMU community helped to build valuable awareness of diversity.

What advice do you have for students?

Practice how to be a grateful person daily, that's what makes you a better person. Find a higher purpose from your career, more than make a living. Enjoy what you do.
