I support OEM vehicle manufacturing, release parts and software data files into the customer system. I serve as a liaison with customers regarding development issues and information, and I’m the voice of the customer to the development team.
What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?
The most rewarding and the most challenging part of my job is to prepare the Reflash work order, Puma Script, Software release notes, releasing software to customer, working on satellite issues, PCB designing, circuit simulation and product testing/software validation/field testing, using DET tool.
What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?
I started by preparing a basic resume, and I sent it to a mentor. He motivated me to prepare the resume myself and I really appreciated a lot for his help and kindness. Then, I started to short list the company names that fit my work experience, and then I began applying.
What advice do you have for students looking for their career after college?
If you are graduating this year, think about your career seriously. Apply for all positions for which you are eligible. Be in contact with other alumni through LinkedIn or other social networks. Don’t forget to update your profile regularly. Make sure to be in contact with the HR person by calling them often. When you go to an interview, be 15 minutes earlier and go with proper attire. Impress the interviewer with proper communication.
