What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is reading the kids’ submissions. It is so fun and exciting to see what they create! The most challenging part is when a craft or recipe does not turn out the way you anticipated.
What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?
Reading and writing as much as possible, WMU writing workshops, the Denver Publishing Institute and working as an editorial intern at BHC Press.
What advice do you have for others pursuing a career similar to yours?
Fearlessly apply everywhere and reach out to everyone. Ask questions and learn as much as you can! It'll only benefit you as you go.
