Bronco Spotlight: Teodora Vecerdi

Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary health services, 2018

Job Right After Graduation:

After graduation from WMU, I was a Certified Nurse Assistant at Friendship Village, where I was a caregiver for the elderly in assisted living and special care units. My responsibilities included taking vitals, assisting with activities of daily living, providing end of life care, assisting those with dementia in daily living. I loved knowing that my patients were happy to see me every day.  Bedside manners were the most important skills I developed while working at Friendship Village. Both dementia and end of life are difficult realities of life, and developing bedside manners will aid in any healthcare career.

Current Role:

Master of Science in Physician Assistant at Eastern Michigan University graduating in 2021.
