Job Opportunities

Part-time instructional opportunities

The faculty and staff of the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences at Western Michigan University strongly believe in the sharing of ideas and the maximization of our students' learning experiences. We enact these values by having our expert faculty members incorporate multiple methods of instruction into their courses in order to engage, inspire and challenge their students. Over the course of their degree programs, our students regularly attend lectures, labs, field courses, seminar presentations by industry leaders and professionalization workshops. As a result, our graduates not only gain exposure to a wide variety of geological and environmental sciences subject matter, but they also learn how to process information, communicate information and perform research in a wide variety of environments. Because of this, our students are uniquely versatile and have exceptional job placement.

If you would like to join our team of passionate, committed and innovated faculty and staff, you are encouraged to submit an application to become a part-time instructor, below. We regularly seek qualified individuals to join the department; however, the availability of these positions varies semester-by-semester.
