The College of Arts and Sciences provides several grants to support students in their academic, research, and professional development activities. Specific information on available grants can be found below.
Deadlines for Applications
- October 18 for spring disbursement
- February 17 for summer and fall disbursement
Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Grant
- These grants fund research and creative activity collaborations between students and faculty representing any discipline in the college.
Undergraduate Travel Grant
Please email Dr. Stephanie Peterson for consideration.
- These grants fund students' travel to conferences to disseminate research activities.
- These grants do NOT fund international study abroad. See the Arts and Sciences International Study Scholarship for study abroad funding information.
AGDP Fellowship Grant
February 17 deadline only.
- The Accelerated Graduate Degree Program (AGDP) Fellowship in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) at Western Michigan University was established to provide financial support to graduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences enrolled in an AGDP program within the college.
- Only department chairs or directors may submit nominations to the College of Arts and Sciences for review.
