Body Systems Design Engineer at Nissan North America

I coordinate prototyping, manufacturing, and design activities for the "body-in-white" of the new 2021 Nissan Rogue.

If you had a campus job or internship, how did they impact your career development?

My experience in my internships at Fiat Chrysler, DENSO, Siemens Energy, and Parker Aerospace were key in preparing me for how the engineering world works outside of the classroom. My career choice was greatly influenced by my time in these various engineering disciplines.

Which of your skills had the biggest impact on your success?

My problem solving and reasoning skills I developed from my coursework and internships were instrumental in my success both in internships and my current job.

What advice do you have for others pursuing a career similar to yours?

Take any and every opportunity to learn and apply what you've learned in the classroom to real-life. Whether that be in an internship, or even just a home project, anything you can do to showcase your skills in the real world will be recognized by employers and colleagues.
