In my role as a medical surgical nurse, I take care of patients with a wide variety of diagnoses. I faced some of my biggest challenges going through nursing school, but the WMU nursing instructors gave continuous support and motivation that allowed me to become the nurse I am today! For those that want to go into a career of caring for others, I would say follow your heart because no matter the challenge, you’ll always feel successful when you can help someone in even the smallest way.
