I am responsible for new product development, product improvement, research project collaboration with academic entities, failure analysis and raw material qualifications and collaborating with international R&D teams on research and overlapping technologies throughout the company.

What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?

My MBA experience at WMU has helped me to manage, plan and perform my work efficiently. Since I am looking to step into the management position in my organization soon, WMU has prepared me well to take on new and challenging opportunities in the area of management.

What of your skills had the biggest impact on your success?

I consider my technical skills and my willingness to continuously improve along with hardworking nature as the key skills for my successful career in the scientific industry.

What experiences impacted the choice of your career path?

The reason I did an MBA degree was to learn the business aspect of my role in the company as a senior scientist. I think my scientific degree has opened the door for me to practice my skills but for the betterment of the company I need to learn how to lead effectively and come up with cost saving initiatives while pursuing new technologies in product development. 

What advice do you have for others pursuing a career similar to yours?

Seek and look for opportunities to constantly improve yourself along with a healthy balance of work and family life!
