Bachelor of Science in nursing, 2018

Clinical Care Coordinator at Health Partners Inc.

My role is clinical oversight and advocacy while collaborating with healthcare providers, patients, and their families to meet their needs and provide quality patient care.

What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?

I really enjoy educating patients and their families.  I feel that education is one of the most impactful tools that you can provide patients so they can make confident informed decisions.  The most challenging part of my job is navigating ‘red tape’ to ensure that patients receive the resources they need to achieve the greatest positive outcomes.

What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?

As I prepared for my career, I relied on mentors to pursue research interests that I am passionate about. This networking led to publication opportunities, and connections that propelled me to pursue a Doctorate in the Practice of Nursing. Dr Lisa Singleterry with the School of Nursing played a central role in the development of my research abilities which propelled my career and expertise.

What advice do you have for students?
