Bronco Spotlight: Lindsey Mills

Bachelor of Arts in fashion merchandising and design, 2021

Retail Marketing and Merchandising Intern at Crocs Inc.

As a Retail Marketing & Merchandising Intern at Crocs, I handle a variety of tasks pertaining to both in-store marketing and visual merchandising. Some of my bigger responsibilities on the marketing side are creating and translating store signage, communicating with print vendors and stores, and keeping track of each store’s marketing inventory nationwide. When it comes to visual merchandising, I often create our window and store display guidelines, photoshop product images for digital merchandising needs, and visit stores to ensure merchandising standards are met.

What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?

While at Western, my extra curricular activities played a huge role in preparing me for life post-college. I was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta honors society, I served on Alpha Xi Delta’s executive board, and was a member of MODA as a part of the marketing committee. These things massively impacted my leadership skills and pushed me to get out of my comfort zone. I’m confident that I would not be where I am today without activities like these!

What advice do you have for others pursuing a career similar to yours?

My biggest advice to those entering the fashion world is take advantage of your time at Western - join MODA and do as many internships as you can. Anything that will set your resume apart from others and build your experience up is crucial. The fashion industry is extremely competitive, so getting as involved as you can will take you far. Best of luck!
