I will be ensuring events run smoothly, coordinating logistics for said events and communicating with various business professionals.

What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?

I haven’t started yet, but I’m excited because the experience itself will be fulfilling and I’m always ready for a challenge.

Which of your skills had the biggest impact on your success?

My networking skills absolutely led me to where I am today. People can and will help you, but you must put yourself in environments that will allow you to network. Networking is essential for success! Get involved, whether it be with your professors, peers, or student-run organizations. Western provides ample helpful opportunities. Show people you’re ready and willing to learn. That’s half the battle!

What advice would you offer students to help them decide on a career path?

Externships and internships are a great way to learn what exactly your career interests are. They are particularly helpful because you will quickly learn your personal strengths and weaknesses. Take constructive criticism and learn from it, no one is perfect from the start. These opportunities only help you. They will absolutely save you from going down the wrong career path, instead leading to a dream job where you will thrive and use your strengths on a daily basis. A win-win!
