Bronco Spotlight: Stephanie Postema

Bachelor of Science in biology, 2020

Field Interviewer / Laboratory Tech at the Frontline National

I am working for a couple research projects through MDHHS to determine the health effects that PFAS cause.

What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?

I participated in Fall Welcome and was also a Bronco Bash/HoCo intern one year. Both of these opportunities taught me the leadership skills needed to communicate and manage projects. The internship provided me with time management skills and taught me how to troubleshoot problems better.

Which of your skills had the biggest impact on your success?

My passion for education has definitely been one of my most important skills.

What advice do you have for others pursuing a career similar to yours?

Step out of your comfort zone, take some classes you might not consider at first. I took a class my senior year that showed me what I’m really interested in doing!
