I work with patients under the direct supervision of health care professionals, such as doctors or nurses. I help patients with tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. In addition, I do splints, draw blood, perform EKGs , etc.

What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?

The most rewarding would be helping the patients and saving lives. The challenging part would be how busy it is, it can be overwhelming at times.

What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?

TRiO, my family and my sorority (Sigma Gamma Rho)

What advice do you have for students looking for their career after college?

Talk to your counselors, professors, friends, etc. Make sure you network with others so you'll have a job in mind or lined up. Give yourself time to truly think about what you want to do (career-wise) and what type of person you want to be (becoming); basically give yourself time to think, breathe and grow.
