4+1 Graduate Programs in Arts and Sciences

The College of Arts and Sciences at Western Michigan University offers the opportunity for you to earn a bachelor's degree from one of our partnering institutions and your master's degree from Western Michigan University in only five years.

Under a 4+1 program, students majoring in either applied economics, chemistry, political science or religion at either Kalamazoo College, Aquinas College or Grand Valley State University will be able to transfer up to 12 credit hours of work towards their master's degree in that subject at WMU.

Applied economics

Kalamazoo College students may be able to transfer a maximum of nine undergraduate credits between KC and WMU for application toward a WMU master's degree in applied economics. Program information.
