WMU Basketball VIP Experience

This is an invitation only VIP event for current and prospective students in the following areas of study: sport management, exercise science, event management, recreation and physical and health education. RSVP's are open until February 20, 2026 or until all seats are filled.

IMPORTANT SCHEDULE CHANGE: Our event agenda has been moved two hours earlier to allow attendees to participate in the women’s basketball game. The adjustment follows the announcement that the Western Michigan Broncos men's basketball game vs. the Miami RedHawks men's basketball has been selected to air nationally on CBS Sports Network.

Women in Sports Day will be an impactful event bringing together women who are passionate about sports and business. Afterwards, guests will watch the WMU women's team take on Central Michigan University.

If you would like to also attend the Friday night men’s game vs. Miami, complimentary tickets for RSVP'd guests may be picked up at the Sangren Hall main desk (Room 2421) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Friday the 27th.

FAQ's

Yes. This event is free for you and one guest to attend. RSVPs will be accepted until all available tickets are claimed or until February 20, whichever comes first.

Yes. Parking on weekends is free at Western Michigan University. We recommend parking at Sangren Hall, Parking Lot 41, where the welcome and panel will be taking place. We will then walk down to the game as a group. This will avoid the high traffic areas of gameday.

Large bags, backpacks, outside food and drink, water bottles, umbrellas, and other large items are not allowed in University Arena. A full list is available here.

Western Michigan University is a Tobacco Free campus. The use of tobacco products is no permitted indoors or outdoors on any University property.
