What is the MiSTEM Network?
The MiSTEM Network brings together education, business, and community partners across Michigan to create pathways for students to explore and pursue high-wage, in-demand careers.
The Network, founded by the MiSTEM Advisory Council, aims to make STEM learning more accessible statewide and prepare students for success in a rapidly evolving economy.
Through the 16 regional hubs, the network provides learning experiences that go beyond the traditional classroom. Using innovative problem-, place-, and project-based (3P) approaches, students engage in real-world activities that are meaningful to their lives, communities and career development.
By expanding STEM opportunities in every community, the network helps meet the growing demand for innovative employees in Michigan while fostering critical skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, responsibility, and leadership.
The mission is to be the catalyst for equitable access and engagement in authentic STEM experiences in every community in Michigan.
