About the Book
In A Culture of Justice, Weber explores how culture can either support or stand in the way of justice. Drawing on questions surrounding education, poverty, racism, free speech and democracy, he argues that creating and sustaining a culture of justice is a shared public responsibility. The book considers what it means to build a society in which people have the opportunity and power to pursue meaningful lives.
About the Speaker
Eric Thomas Weber, Ph.D., is a professor of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation at the University of Kentucky and director of the Democracy, Ethics, and Educational Philosophy (DEEP) Lab. A philosopher, author and educator, his work explores democracy, ethics, education, leadership and social justice. Weber is also executive director of the Society of Philosophers in America and the author or editor of several books.
