Careers in Sports Panel + Football Family Weekend

We are so excited that you are considering one of our majors in the College of Education and Human Development at Western Michigan University! That's why we are pleased to extend an invitation for you and one guest to attend the upcoming Careers in Sports Panel followed by a WMU Football Game on Saturday, October 31.

Hear from a panel of professionals working in the sports industry, enjoy a meal at the concession stands, and cheer on the Broncos as they take on Bowling Green at Waldo Stadium. You will have the opportunity to chat with representatives from our Exercise Science, Nutrition & Dietetics, Physical & Health Teacher Education, and Recreation, Event, and Sport Management programs including WMU faculty, alumni, and current students. We believe that spending time with industry experts will provide you with a firsthand glimpse into the vibrant and engaging community at WMU.

This is an invitation only VIP event for prospective high school juniors and seniors in the following areas of study: sport management, exercise science, event management, recreation management, nutrition & dietetics, and physical & health education. RSVP's are open until October 17 or until all seats are filled.

FAQ's

Yes. This invitation only event is free for you and one guest to attend. RSVPs will be accepted until all available tickets are claimed or October 17, whichever comes first.

Yes. Parking on weekends is free at Western Michigan University. We recommend parking at Sangren Hall, Parking Lot 41, where the welcome and panel will be taking place. We will then walk to the game as a group, touring our specialty labs and recreation center on the way. This will avoid the high traffic areas of gameday.

Only clear bags are allowed in Waldo Stadium. Other prohibited items include outside food and drink, umbrellas, coolers, animals, strollers, video cameras/tripod/selfie sticks, seat cushions with metal such as zippers, and other large items are not allowed in Waldo Stadium. Each guest may bring one factory unopened bottle of water. A full list of policies is available here.
