Registrar’s Notes – June 30, 2014

Summer I Grades

Summer I grades are due tomorrow at noon. The grading system will be turned off soon after the deadline and we will begin processing. Grades will be available for students to view as soon as processing has been completed, which we anticipate will be sometime in the late afternoon on July 1. Students will be notified through their wmich.edu e-mail account if their academic standing changes to probation, extended probation, final probation or dismissal.

Students dismissed as a result of their Summer I grades will be dropped from their Summer II registration on Thursday, July 3.

Summer II

Summer II census will be occurring Thursday. Please make every effort to ensure all students attending a Summer II course are registered in Banner by the end of the day Thursday, so they can be accurately reflected in our census counts. In addition, please verify that all sections have the correct instructor of record assigned and any sections on hold have been cancelled or made active.

Summer II waitlist notification will be turned off Tuesday and any student still remaining on a waitlist will be deleted Thursday morning. Departments may add students into waitlisted sections on Thursday as they see appropriate.

Orientation

Orientation wraps up this week as we welcome the last group of students and their families to campus. Approximately 140 students will be arriving tomorrow for session twelve.

June Commencement

Over 1,300 degrees were conferred at the June commencement ceremonies on Saturday. The hashtag “#WMUGrad” was provided in the commencement program for graduates to share their graduation comments and photos. Click here to see their posts.

  • Tuesday, July 1—Summer I final grades due at noon

  • Wednesday, July 2—Summer II drop/add ends

  • Thursday, July 3—Census

  • Friday, July 4—Independence Day Recess

  • Tuesday, July 8—Last day to receive a 50% refund for complete withdrawal

  • Monday, July 21—Last day to receive a 25% refund for complete withdrawal

  • Monday, July 21—Last day to withdraw

  • Friday, August 15—Summer II session ends

  • Tuesday, August 19—Final grades due at noon
