Enroll Now Postcard

A postcard is being mailed to over 2,000 students who have not yet enrolled in classes for the Fall 2014 semester. A sample is provided below. Students who have graduated from WMU, have been academically dismissed, or have a registration hold were not included in the mailing.

Reclaim the W

Students readmitted to WMU under the Reclaim the W program will be attending one of four Reclaim the W Welcome sessions prior to the start of the fall semester. The Welcome session will cover topics such as time management, motivation, study skills etc. to help get their academic year off to a positive start. In the event you are working with a Reclaim the W student, you may notice they have an AC (academic hold) on their account. This purpose of the hold is to ensure that the student works with an advisor to make any schedule adjustments. The hold will remain on their record until removed by their advisor.

I am pleased to report that PDF versions of the Graduate and Undergraduate Catalogs are now available on the Registrar’s Office website going back to 2006-2007, the year we moved to the online catalog.

Upcoming Dates:

  • Friday, August 15—Summer II session ends

  • Tuesday, August 19—Final grades due at noon

  • Monday, August 25 to Friday, September 5—One Stop

  • Tuesday, August 26 to Friday, August 29—Fall Welcome

  • Monday, September 1—Labor Day recess

  • Tuesday, September 2—Fall classes begin

  • Monday, September 8—Last day to drop/add

  • Tuesday, September 9—Census

  • Wednesday, September 10--$100 late fee begins

  • Thursday, September 11—Last day to receive a 90% refund for complete withdraw

  • Monday, September 15—Last day to receive a 50% refund for a partial withdraw

  • Friday, September 26—Last day to receive a 50% refund for a complete withdraw

  • Sunday, September 28—First work grades due

  • Wednesday, October 22—Last day to receive a 25% refund for a complete withdraw

  • Sunday, October 26—Midterm grades due

  • Monday, November 3—Last day to withdraw

  • Wednesday, November 26—Thanksgiving recess starts at noon

  • Monday, December 1—Classes resume

  • Tuesday, Dec. 16—Final grades due at noon
