Registrar’s Notes – August 25, 2014
Degree Works Training
Degree Works training is scheduled for September 24 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and September 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The training sessions will provide a one-on-one opportunity to learn more about the navigation and use of Degree Works. To sign up for a 30 minute time block, please contact Lenore Bishop in the Registrar’s Office by phone at 387-4310.
One Stop
One Stop opens this morning in the West Ballroom of the Bernhard Center. One stop offers students and their families a centralized location to take care of last-minute business associated with starting the new academic year. Days and times of One Stop are as follows:
Monday, Aug 25: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug 26: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug 27: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday, Aug 28: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday, Aug 29: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Monday, Sept 1: Holiday, University Closed Tuesday, Sept 2: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept 3: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday, Sept 4: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept 5: 9 a.m. to noon
Extended Hours
College Advising Units, EUP, Admissions and the Registrar’s Office will be open until 6pm on September 2-4.
Academic Scheduling:
The Summer I and Summer II 2015 schedule will be available for editing in Banner beginning Monday, September 8. The deadline for Banner edits is Friday, October 10 at the end of the business day. The final review will be in December.
The Fall 2015 schedule will be available for editing in Banner beginning Monday, October 13. The deadline for Banner edits is Friday, November 14. The final review will be in January 2015.
All special requests should be forwarded to the Registrar’s Office by the deadline.
Undergraduate Credit Hour Cap
The Faculty Senate approved a reduction in the undergraduate credit hour cap from 24 hours to 19 hours for the fall and spring semesters and from 12 hours to 10 hours during the Summer I and Summer II sessions. The revised policy will go into effect for students starting with the Spring 2015 semester. The enrollment cap can only be increased if the student receives prior permission from their college advisor.
