Spring 2015 Registration

We are in our third week of registration for the Spring 2015 semester. This week sophomores and freshmen are able to register. The priority schedule for the week is as follows:

Midterm Grading

The deadline for instructors to enter Fall 2014 midterm grades in Banner was last night at midnight. The midterm grade worksheet was closed this morning. Students can view midterm grades in GoWMU or on an android or iPhone using the WMU mobile app.

Orientation Modules

New students who attended orientation this summer were asked to complete three online modules (Academic Success Choices, Financial Literacy 101 and AlcoholEdu). A registration hold was placed on students who have not yet completed all three modules. If you see a “FY” hold type on a student’s record, please encourage the student to complete the on-line modules. First Year Experience will be reviewing reports daily and will remove the hold when modules are completed. Please refer any questions regarding this hold to the First Year Experience Office at (269) 387-2167.

Degree Works Usage

We have seen a record number of Degree Works users in October. A total of 4477 students accessed Degree Works one or more times during the month—and we still have five days left.

Upcoming Dates:

• Monday, November 3—Last day to withdraw

• Wednesday, November 26—Thanksgiving recess starts at noon

• Monday, December 1—Classes resume

• Tuesday, Dec. 16—Final grades due at noon
