Fall registration

Priority registration ended last Tuesday. All current students are now eligible to register for fall 2015 courses.

Update

At the request of advisors the Not Counted block in Degree Works has been moved from the bottom of the student's worksheet to the top, directly below the Legend section. The Not Counted block contains courses not counted toward the credits required to graduate. Examples of such courses include ENGL 1000, LS 1040 and Math 1090. Some programs limit the number of grades less than C that can be used in a student's program. For these programs the courses that exceed the limit will also be listed in this block. This change will make these courses easier for everyone to see and should result in fewer students not realizing they need to make up the credits. We appreciate the feedback that brought this change to our attention.

Catalog proofs

Friday is the deadline to return your catalog proofs. If your unit is responsible for reviewing content please make sure your corrections are returned to Laurie Foster in the Registrar's Office as soon as possible. We are planning to have the 2015-16 catalogs available online June 1.

Student academic concern form Cognos report

The Not Attending Cognos report has been renamed and updated to reflect the additional options available in GoWMU for instructors to report a student. The expanded options include academic concern, excessive absences and missing multiple assignments. The report is still located in the Student Attendance Issues folder in Cognos, but it is now called Students with Instructor Reported Academic Concerns. A college prompt has also been added to the report. A total of 594 students have been reported so far this semester through the student academic concern form.
