Hybrid building code

WMU has seen an increase in the popularity of the hybrid instructional method being offered to our students. However, we have found that there has been some confusion about the actual start date of the class. It became apparent that some students felt there was nothing to do until that first face-to-face meeting.

A new building code of HYBRID has been created to help make it clearer to students when the course will be held. On the Meeting Dates tab in Banner on SSASECT, the top line should reflect the semester dates. Continue tabbing to the Building field and enter HYBRID. Tab to the Room field and enter CLASS. The subsequent lines will indicate the actual face-to-face meetings. Entering the dates this way will also help with the Course/Instructor Evaluation System.

When a hybrid class is viewed online in either Course Look Up or GoWMU, the location will indicate HYBRID CLASS (Online and Face-to-Face).

Fall tuition invoices

Tuition invoices for the fall 2015 semester will be printed on Tuesday, August 4. Please make sure all students who have asked to be registered for the fall semester are entered into Banner prior to next Tuesday to ensure that their statement is as accurate as possible.

Just a reminder that the due date for the fall charges is Tuesday, September 1, one week before the start of the semester.

Upcoming dates

• Wednesday, July 29—Last day to receive a 25% refund for a complete withdrawal
• Monday, Aug. 3—Last day to withdraw
• Friday, Aug. 21—Summer II session ends
• Tuesday, Aug. 25—Summer II grades due by noon
