Census
The official census count will be taken at the end of the day tomorrow. It is important that all students attending fall courses are registered in Banner so they can be accurately reflected in our census counts.
In addition, to prepare for census please ensures that all sections have the correct instructor of record listed and all sections on hold have been cancelled or made active.
Waitlisting
The waitlisting notification was turned off this morning and any student still waitlisted for a fall section will be dropped by 8:00 a.m. tomorrow. Departments may add students into waitlisted sections tomorrow as they see appropriate.
Major and Minor changes
As a reminder, changes to a student's major or minor occurring after Tuesday will need to be made effective in Banner for the Spring 2016 semester. This is to prevent a student's fall tuition from being reassessed if they are moving to or from a college with differential tuition.
WMU mobile app
A record number of students accessed the WMU mobile app this semester using an Android or iPhone device. On the first day of classes, 6,095 unique students viewed their fall schedule from the student icon on the WMU mobile app.
Course fees
The initial due date to submit fall 2016 course fees is tomorrow, September 15. The final course fee due date is Tuesday, October 20. Course fees are generally in effect for three years following the approved effective date. The process to submit, review and approve or deny course fee requests is managed via Banner Workflow. Step by step instructions can be found on the Registrar's Office website.

- Tuesday, Sept 15—Census
- Wednesday, Sept 16—$100 late add fee begins; begin recording withdraws as "W" on transcript
- Thursday, Sept. 17—Last day to receive 90% refund for a complete withdrawal
- Monday, Sept. 21—Last day to receive 50% refund for a partial withdrawal
- Sunday, Sept. 27—First work grades due
- Monday, Sept. 28—Spring 2016 course offerings open for viewing
- Friday, Oct. 2—Last day to receive 50% refund for a complete withdrawal
- Wednesday, Oct. 28—Last day to receive 25% refund for a complete withdrawal
- Monday, Nov. 9—Last day to withdraw from classes
- Wednesday, Nov. 25—Thanksgiving recess begins at noon
- Monday, Nov. 30—Classes resume
- Dec. 14 - 18—Final exam week
- Saturday, Dec. 19—Semester ends; Commencement
- Tuesday, Dec. 22—Final grades due by noon
