December Commencement
Over 1,800 degrees were conferred at the commencement ceremonies on Saturday. The hashtag "#WMUGrad" was provided in the commencement program for graduates and their families to share their graduation comments and photos. Click here to see their posts.
Graduation auditors will begin awarding degrees on Tuesday and graduates can expect to receive their diploma in a few weeks. When the diploma is printed an email will be sent to the student's wmich.edu email account that will include a link where they can view their actual diploma. As a reminder, graduates now have the option of receiving a signed and certified PDF copy of their Western Michigan University diploma. Additional information on the eDiploma option can be found on the Registrar's Office website.
Reverse Transfer
The Registrar's Office recently sent an email to 298 students eligible for review under reverse transfer. Student eligibility is based on the number of credits completed at WMU and the number of credits transferred from the partnering community college. Over 2,300 former community college students have been contacted by WMU since our first reverse transfer agreement was signed in 2012.
