Commencement

Graduates have this week and next to reserve their four guest tickets for commencement.  Tickets not claimed by December 8 will be donated to the extra ticket pool and will no longer be available.  A link to reserve tickets can be found on the commencement website under “tickets.” 

Additional tickets will be available to graduates from December 12 to December 14 while quantities last. 

Faculty participating in the December 16 commencement ceremony may order regalia online through the Willsie Cap and Gown Company at:

The deadline to submit orders has been extended to November 29.   Faculty should submit orders by Wednesday to ensure availability of hood colors from the institution they earned their degree. Regalia will be available for pickup in the Bernhard Center's Textbook Alley from Monday, December 11, through Friday, December 15, or from the York Arena Theatre and on Saturday, December 16, beginning at 8 a.m. 

Final exams

As we approach the end of the Fall 2017 semester, here are some things to remember regarding final exams:

All final exams must be held as scheduled in the final exam schedule, which can be found on the Registrar’s Office website.

All final exams must be held in the normal classroom unless other arrangements have been made with the Registrar’s Office. To schedule classroom space for review sessions, please e-mail @email.

If any student is assigned four exams during the same day, university policy will allow the student to request that one exam is given at the make-up time.

In every class taught, all faculty shall give a final examination, i.e., some form of comprehensive evaluative academic exercise appropriate to the course, during the last week of the semester.

The final evaluative exercise may be distributed before the time scheduled for the final exam provided that it is due and collected on the day the final exam has been scheduled. If the university should close on Monday through Thursday of final exam week, the exams scheduled on that day of closure would automatically move to Friday without affecting any other exam day. Rescheduled exams will take place at the same times and in the same places as originally scheduled. 

25Live demonstrations

As a reminder, 25Live demonstrations will be held on Friday, December 1 from 10 to 10:45 and 11 to 11:45 in Sangren 1730.  All faculty and staff are welcome to attend and learn about our new room scheduling software.
