Summer I and Summer II registration

Summer registration continues. Priority registration ended Friday. Starting today, all students are eligible to register for summer I and summer iI courses. 

The fall 2018 schedule will be available to view beginning Monday, February 19 and registration begins on Monday, March 12. 

Study abroad workflow

Last month, the Registrar's Office implemented an electronic workflow process for student abroad registration changes that occur during or after the student's study abroad experience. This was a joint effort with Study Abroad, Accounts Receivable, and Information Technology. 

Rather than mail documentation between the offices, the workflow allows information to be shared electronically which expedites the processing of registration and tuition adjustments. 

Midterm Grades

Just a reminder, midterm grades are due one month from today on Monday, March 12. Midterm grades can be entered in GoWMU using the Midterm Grade Worksheet. Grades can also be reported through D2L. 

Additional information on midterm grading, as well as instructions on how to submit midterm grades via eLearning are available on the Registrar's Office website. 

Security re-authorization

The semi-annual student information systems re-authorization period has begun and will close on March 2.  An email will be going out today to anyone with access to one or more student systems.  The email will contain instructions on how to access the online form in GoWMU.  Automated reminder notifications will be sent during the re-authorization period until both the employee and your supervisor have approved or denied the reauthorization.  Please direct any questions to the Registrar’s Office at (269) 387-4300. 

Fact of the week

January is our busiest month for transcript processing.  Last month, 1,699 transcripts were requested through Parchment, our online transcript vendor. Over 65% of students requesting transcripts opt to receive an electronic copy as opposed to a paper copy.

  • Feb 19—Fall course offerings are available to view online. 
  • Feb. 28—Last day to apply for June graduation.
  • Mar. 2—Last day to receive 25% refund for a complete withdrawal; Spirit Day (no classes, University open).
  • Mar. 5 - 9—Spring Break (no classes, University open).
  • Mar. 12—Midterm grades due.
  • Mar. 19—Last day to withdraw from classes.
  • Mar. 31—Last day to apply for August graduation (no commencement exercises are held).
  • Apr. 15—Spring 2019 course fee request deadline.
  • Apr. 23 - 26—Final exam week.
  • Apr. 28—Semester ends; Commencement.
  • Apr. 30—Spring 2019 schedule available to departments to review and edit in Banner. 
  • May 1—Final grades due by noon.
  • May 7—Summer I session begins at 8 a.m.; Tuition and fees are due.
