Midterm grading

This is the final week for instructors to enter midterm grades for the spring semester. The Midterm Grade worksheet will be available through Monday, March 12. Grades can be submitted in GoWMU using the Midterm Grade Worksheet or reported through eLearning. Instructions on submitting midterm grades can be found on the Registrar's Office website at wmich.edu/registrar/faculty-staff/grades. 

Catalog proofs

Catalog proofs for the 2018-19 Undergraduate and Graduate online catalogs will be sent to departments via email this week. Departments are asked to review the proofs carefully and indicate any editorial corrections. Return corrections to Laurie Foster in the Registrar's Office no later than April 6.

Fall 2018 registration

Fall registration begins next Monday, March 12 for graduate students. Students with priority registration are eligible to register on Tuesday, March 13; followed by seniors with 122 credit hours on Wednesday, March 14. Fact of the week

The Academic schedulers have processed 557 individual section change forms (formerly pink sheets) for the fall 2018 semester.

Of those, 97 classes have been added, 50 classes have been deleted, and 410 have had some sort of change (capacity, title, days, times, or room assignment). 

UPCOMING DATES

  • Mar. 2—Last day to receive 25% refund for a complete withdrawal; Spirit Day (no classes, University open).
  • Mar. 5 - 9—Spring Break (no classes, University open).
  • Mar. 12—Midterm grades due.
  • Mar. 19—Last day to withdraw from classes.
  • Mar. 31—Last day to apply for August graduation (no commencement exercises are held).
  • Apr. 15—Spring 2019 course fee request deadline.
  • Apr. 23 - 26—Final exam week.
  • Apr. 28—Semester ends; Commencement.
  • Apr. 30—Spring 2019 schedule available to departments to review and edit in Banner. 
  • May 1—Final grades due by noon.
  • May 7—Summer I session begins at 8 a.m.; Tuition and fees are due.
