Fall registration
We are in the final two days of priority registration for the fall semester with freshmen eligible to register today and tomorrow.
Monday, Mar 26
Freshmen with 18 credit hours - begin registration at 8 a.m.
Freshmen with 14 credit hours - begin registration at noon
Tuesday, Mar 27
Freshmen with 12 credit hours - begin registration at 8 a.m.
Freshmen with 0 (zero) credit hours - begin registration at noon.
December graduation deadline
As you work with students who plan to complete their degree requirements at the end of the Fall 2018 semester, please remind them to submit their application for graduation before the August 1 deadline. We want to make sure prospective graduates remember to take care of this important step before they leave campus for the summer.
Free shredding event
Start cleaning out your desks and file cabinets. The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) Committee is hosting a document shredding event on Friday, April 20 in Lot 41 near Sangren Hall. The event will run from 9 am to 1 pm.
Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to drop off professional or personal documents to ensure they are properly destroyed and recycled. This is a great time to review your departmental records and purge any unwanted documents.
Spring grading
Grading for the Spring 2018 semester is open. Grades are due no later than noon on Tuesday, May 1.
As a reminder, instructors are required to provide the date a student last attended class, when the student is receiving a grade of "E" or "X." If attendance information is not available, the instructor can use the last date of recorded academic activity. It is important that the date provided be as accurate as possible since it will be used to determine student awards and refunds. Instructors will be prompted to enter a valid date that is between the start and end date of the semester before final grades can be submitted. In cases where the student does not come to even one class session or does not complete any work, the first day of the semester (January 8) should be used.
Fact of the week
1,576 undergraduate students registered for fall 2018 classes on Tuesday, March 13 during priority registration (299 freshmen, 440 sophomores, 479 juniors and 358 seniors).
UPCOMING DATES
- Mar. 31—Last day to apply for August graduation (no commencement exercises are held).
- Apr. 15—Spring 2019 course fee request deadline.
- Apr. 23 - 26—Final exam week.
- Apr. 28—Semester ends; Commencement.
- Apr. 30—Spring 2019 schedule available to departments to review and edit in Banner.
- May 1—Final grades due by noon.
- May 7—Summer I session begins at 8 a.m.; Tuition and fees are due.
