Fall registration changes

Students who wish to add a Fall 2018 course to their schedule can do so with the approval of the instructor and the department chair. The registration will need to be done in the Registrar’s Office and a completed Permission to Late Add form is required.

Since we are past the drop and add period, students are not able to “swap” sections of a course.  Changing sections will require the student to withdraw from one section and go through the late add process in order to register.

Major and minor changes

As a reminder, changes to a student's major or minor will need to be made effective in Banner for the Spring 2019 semester. This is to prevent a student's fall tuition from being reassessed if they are moving to or from a college with differential tuition.

Since registration has ended, these changes will need to done through SGASTDN; not SFAREGS. Click here for instructions. Once registration opens for Spring 2019, you will be able to make the changes through SFAREGS.

Spring 2019

The Spring 2019 schedule opens for viewing one week from today and registration begins on Monday, October 1.  The complete registration schedule can be found on the Registrar’s Office website.

One Stop

In the seven days One Stop was open at the start of the semester, over 2,100 students were assisted.  This was a 13% increase from fall 2017.  The schedule for spring 2019 and fall 2019 have been published on the Registrar’s Office website.

Meet the Registrar's Office

On August 27, I started the Meet the Registrar’s Office series.  I plan to feature a different Registrar’s Office employee each week in an effort to introduce you to our staff and help familiarize you with the work they do.

I look forward to having you meet the Registrar’s Office team and I hope this information will make it easier for you to know whom to contact when you need assistance.

Lenore Bishop

Lenore  has been an Administrative Assistant in the Registrar’s Office since 2009.  She is responsible for tracking the budget, ordering supplies, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements and processing payroll.  In addition, Lenore monitors the Student Academic Concern emails and sends out an average of 1,200 non-attendance letters and 800 dismissal letters to students each year.

To staff in the Registrar’s Office, Lenore’s most important task is to coordinate potlucks.  For those of you who don’t know, the Registrar’s Office loves potlucks.

All three of Lenore’s children have attended WMU. In her spare time, Lenore enjoys Words with Friends and jigsaw puzzles.
